get up
Been thinking about the practical aspects of faith this week. Somewhere in the history of our people the idea of never messing up became proof of great faith. The problem is that when being perfect is the goal, we all start hiding from each other and God. True faith is not about fixing yourself before going to God, but bringing all the broken pieces of your life to God. The people with the greatest faith are those who don’t let failure, fear, shame, guilt or pride keep them from coming to Jesus.
Having to ask God to fix things over and over again might feel like weakness, but it is actually how Faith grows, and faith saves.

Keep getting up people!.

Matthew 9:11-13
11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
